Set in the heart of the countryside in the picturesque Halliloo Valley near Caterham, Woldingham Golf Club is conveniently located close to junction 6 of the M25. Designed by renowned American course architect, Bradford Benz, Woldingham's 18 hole par 71 course measures 6393 yards, each of which makes the most of the contours of the valley in which it lies. Built to USGA specifications on a chalk base which provides excellent drainage for year round play, the Club has quickly established itself as one of the best winter courses around. So, whether you are thinking of becoming a member or playing as a visitor, you can enjoy your game whatever the time of year! The stately clubhouse, in the style of a country mansion, houses a comfortable spike bar with patio area, spacious changing facilities, pro-shop and elegant function suite with balcony areas. Wherever you look from the clubhouse, there are lovely views of the course and surrounding countryside, offering golfers a superb panoramic snapshot of the golf to come. The Golf Course, opened in 1995, was designed by architect David Williams and built to a high standard with modern, USGA specification greens as an 18 hole, par 72 course layout. In the years since then, golf courses have become ever longer, and longer, which may suit tournament Professionals, but perhaps not the regular club golfer. Whilst we do not promote our golf course as a ‘7,000 yard monster’, we offer instead a very challenging 6,212 yards SSS 71 course, which provides something far more important than length alone – a great deal of fun! We have fine turf to offer you; sloping bent/fescue greens, some of the best fairways you’ll find, dry and firm tees in play all year round (no mats here!).
Although draped across a hillside, you don’t have to endure testing uphill holes yet we have some exciting elevated tee shots offering lovely views. You can enjoy four great par fives and four equally good short holes of high quality, yet none of the par fours are overly intimidating and all offer birdie chances in return for a couple of good shots. Whilst you plot your way around 99 bunkers and avoid the lake on two holes, you will enjoy a golf course that has matured significantly over the last five years, a golf course that will be even better in years to come as we set our standards higher each year.
Just three minutes from Jct.8 of the M25 we are very easy to find, if you haven’t played here for a while, or maybe never enjoyed Reigate Hill, it’s about time you came and experienced it at first hand. The club currently has a membership of approximately 450 and applications for membership are very welcome, both from experienced golfers and from enthusiastic newcomers looking to join a club for the first time. You need look no further…
The Club continues to be run as a traditional private members Golf Club where the emphasis remains very much on the members. Societies and visitors remain very welcome but they are strictly controlled. Members enjoy month-in-advance booking rights while visitors can book vacant tee-times, around the members events, only one week ahead. At weekends it remains ‘members-only’ in the morning, visitors only able to book quieter tee-times later in the day. Reigate Hill has established a deserved and growing reputation as a friendly members club with a refreshingly modern attitude, acknowledging the need to adapt and change whilst remaining respectful to the best traditions of this great game.
The club is affiliated to the GOLF NETWORK. This is a reciprocal arrangement we have with like-minded clubs, which offers our members free golf (mid week), and privileged playing rights at weekends at other Network Clubs. Currently numbering 13, we anticipate the Network increasing to 18 quality clubs, which you will be able to enjoy as a member of Reigate Hill as a significant added value to your subscription.
If you would like to visit the club or play the course, either call in or telephone and speak to any of the management team on 01737 645577 and you will be made most welcome. Website: www.reigatehillgolfclub.co.uk

Surrey National Golf Club is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the village of Chaldon, near Caterham. Since opening in April 1999 the course has gone from strength to strength earning a fine reputation as one of the best all year round courses within the M25. Only a year after opening Time Magazine nominated the course as their "Find of the Year" and urged readers to "Play it Now!”. The golf course, designed by David Williams, meanders through dramatic rolling countryside populated by thousands of mature trees which further enhance the appeal of the setting. The topography of the course is extremely interesting with two valleys merging at the northern end offering wonderful views over Farthing Downs. Complimented by a superb clubhouse Surrey National has facilities that are second to none. The magnificent building sits perched above the 18th green with grandstand views over the lake, fountains and beyond.
